Digital only release, Space Cadet Soundtrack Sampler EP is out March 13th on Envision Records worldwide to coincide with the theatrical release of the Space Cadet feature animated film in Canada, France, Sweden and more.
Space Cadet is a poignant, music-filled tale about memories and the bonds that connect us. Based on Kid Koala’s award-winning graphic novel, Space Cadet is a tomorrow-days lullaby about finding your place in the universe.
The dialogue-free animated film is complete with an original score by Kid Koala, original songs by Mariana “Ladybug” Vieira, and songs featuring vocalists Emilíana Torrini, Martha Wainwright, Meaghan Smith and Trixie Whitley.
This is a sampler of the full soundtrack taken from the original animated feature film Space Cadet.
Space Cadet, the film, had it’s world premiere at 75th Berlin International Film Festival on 16 February 2025. Canada’s Sphere Films International acquired the sales rights of film, and will release it in Canada. Space Cadet had its North American premiere at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival on 11 September 2025 in the Centrepiece section. It opened the 2025 Festival du nouveau cinéma on 8 October 2025. It was screened in the 'Special screening Section' of the 70th Valladolid International Film Festival. In February 2026, it had its United States premiere in the feature films section of the 41st Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
