Acclaimed musicians and friends Colin Stetson, Greg Fox and Trevor Dunn share first single and title track from their upcoming collaboration album Nethering. Recorded 7 years ago, the friends improvised and let their creativity go wild. The album title "Nethering" isn't a common modern word, but it stems from "nether," meaning lower or beneath, often implying the underworld, hell, or dark places, and can also refer to the body's lower parts (groin/buttocks).

The album is the first in a collaboration series Colin Stetson has been working on between soundtrack and solo projects over the past few years. Envision Records (North America) along with their label partner Invada (UK + ROW) will be releasing Colin Stetson’s series of minimal free jazz and improvised collaborations - essentially, snapshots of moments in time, both sonically and visually.
