JUNO NOMINATION: “The love it took to leave you”
We are thrilled to announce Colin Stetson’s 2024 album The love it took to leave you has been nominated for a JUNO Award for Best Instrumental Album of the Year at the 2026 awards in Hamilton ON. The album is out in North America via Envision & Invada Records in the rest of the world.
Colin Stetson is a Canadian-American saxophonist, multireedist, and composer based in Montreal. Stetson has performed and recorded with dozens of artists, including Tom Waits, Arcade Fire, TV on the Radio, Feist, Bon Iver. His extended saxophone techniques cover advanced circular breathing, multiphonics, altissimo, microtones, (reed) vocalizations, percussive valve-work, clicking keys, and growling. In addition to saxophone, he plays clarinet, bass clarinet, French horn, flute, and cornet. Best known for his soundtrack work, eg. The Menu, Hereditary, Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
